Study notes
Life in the UK test: what to practise first
Start with the exam shape: 24 questions, 45 minutes, and 18 correct answers to pass.
Then learn the memory-heavy facts. Dates, monarchs, Parliament, courts, patron saints and national symbols appear often because they are easy to test.
Use the mock test as a check, not as your only study method. A wrong answer is a signal: read the explanation, then make a flashcard.
High-yield order
- Learn the UK / Great Britain / England distinction.
- Memorise the date anchors: 1066, 1215, 1588, 1666, 1815, 1918, 1928 and 1948.
- Practise government and law words in simple English.
- Review national symbols and saints last, because they are quick facts.
